Well done for committing to regular practice ! This is THE KEY to achieving satisfying results with Yoga, Pilates & Meditation :-)

I've had the privilege of practicing yoga with wonderful teachers & students for a quarter of a century. The idea that some people aren't flexible enough for Yoga, strong enough for Pilates or calm enough for Meditation is FALSE ! Indeed there's an  anonymous quote "to say that you're not flexible enough for yoga, would be like saying that you're too dirty to take a shower" ;-) This is why we're practicing it ! Otherwise we'd have no need. 

There are some people that are naturally more flexible than others, but there's a strong possibility that they'll lack some of the strength of those that are less flexible. Mastery of yoga requires both the Yin & the Yang. The strong gain in flexibility and the flexible gain in strength. So the key is not your heritage, or genetic makeup, but your time on the mat that counts ! Regular practice and humble patience will produce unbelievable results. Deliberating whether we are, or aren't motivated, takes a lot of energy. The so called "agony of choice". But once you've taken that step, and you know this is something you want in your life, all that energy can be channelled into the practice itself. This is when the real magic starts to happen and you will feel the results in your body, mind & soul.

Just keep in mind that while 1 session per week is a good start, you want to work towards  2 classes per week. Continuity is the key to reap the full rewards of regular practice. Of course, the more you practice the better you'll feel. But having 2 classes per week, makes the biggest difference, in comparison with adding a 3rd or a 4th etc. This is because the body needs 1 class a week for "maintenance" of your current level. As soon as you have that 2nd session, then you can start to go deeper and build in strength, flexibility, endurance, mindfulness and overall satisfaction !
